Executive Coaching

  • Purpose: to provide support and advice to executives seeking to improve individual, team and overall
    business performance
  • Target Audience:  those who recognize that success is a process of continuous improvement rather
than an objective to achieve.  Just as Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, and a host of other top performers
use a coach to keep them sharp and improving, so too do top business executives.
  • Format:  one-on-one sessions, in person or by teleconference. Typically, coaching sessions take
place twice monthly over a six or twelve month period with each session lasting 60-90 minutes.
  • Typical Areas Addressed:
  • What is the role of the leader in developing his or her organization?
  • If you are going to hit your personal, professional and business goals, what will you have to be
    good at?
  • Where will you have to excel?  How do you allow others to help?
  • What are your critical success factors?  How will you measure progress?
  • How do you maintain a positive, effective work-life balance?

Team Execution

  • Purpose: To provide support and advice to working teams charged with leading their organizations
and/or executing critical components of business strategy
  • Target Audience:  leadership teams who recognize that a collection of individual stars does not
    necessarily ensure great team performance.
  • Format:  small group working sessions, in person and by teleconference. Typically, in person working
sessions take place monthly over a six or twelve month period with each session lasting between two
and four hours.  Teleconference sessions may occur once a month between scheduled in person
working sessions or on an as needed basis to address emerging or urgent issues.
  • Typical Areas Addressed:
  • How well does your team work together?
  • Are you a collection of stars who perform individually?
  • Are you collection of silos going after a common goal or a true team – aligned, collaborative and
    mutually supportive?
  • What does the team have to be good at in order to excel?
  • How well do individual team members support one another?
  • How well does the team pull together when another part of the business is struggling?
  • What happens when things break down between various parts of the organization or between
individual leaders who are part of the larger leadership team?
  • How do you generate success at the individual level, with each member hitting his or her targets,
and still collaborate outside your area of responsibility for joint success opportunities?

Negotiation and Mediation

The secret to a great deal is not how good it looks on paper, but how well it works once
the ink is dry.  If both parties don’t come out ahead, everyone loses eventually.  Just ask
the lawyers who litigate those ‘ironclad’ contracts.
                                                                                                                               Russell Bishop

  • Purpose: to help organizations improve business outcomes resulting from negotiating and partnering
    opportunities.
  • Target Audience:  executives and leadership teams who recognize success in negotiation and
partnering is measured in long term value rather than score cards based on winning and losing.    If your
business requires that your partners, suppliers and customers do well in order for you to do well, then
you may benefit from our mutual gain approach to negotiation.
  • Format:  working sessions to help individual and team negotiators prepare for critical negotiations,
developing win/win or mutual gain negotiation strategies.  A combination of team working sessions and
individual coaching are delivered on an as needed basis after completion of an initial assessment of
risk, opportunity, current position and probable outcomes.
  • Typical Areas Addressed:
  • How much of your success is dependent on how well customers, suppliers and partners
    succeed?
  • Do your key customers feel as though you are truly there for them?
  • Do your key suppliers feel as though they can succeed while supporting your success?
  • Do your partners experience true joint gain synergies working with you?
  • How do you create negotiation strategies so that both you and your partners develop long term
    value together?
  • Do you leave money on the table?
